The Provincial Energy Agency of Alicante is organising a key technical conference to promote energy efficiency in the local public sector. The event, named as Conference on the Transmission and Monetisation of Energy Savings in the Local Administration of the Province of Alicante, will take place on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, from 09:00 to 13:00, in the Assembly Hall of the MARQ (Archaeological Museum of Alicante).
This initiative is a direct response to the recent publication of the Guide to the CAE System: Transmission and Monetisation of Energy Savings in the Public Sector, jointly developed by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and the National Association of Energy Service Companies (ANESE). The document, presented in October 2025, provides a methodological, legal and procedural framework enabling public entities—such as municipalities and local authorities—to identify, measure and transfer the energy savings generated by efficiency investments, converting them into a valuable patrimonial asset.
Considering final energy savings as an intangible patrimonial asset, this guide is essential for maximising the value of public resources.
Free of charge and aimed at municipal technicians, energy managers and public decision-makers, the conference will deep into these topics, adapting them to the local context of the province. It will also reinforce the commitment of the Alicante Diputacion to sustainability, in alignment with European energy policy.
