Since 2012 the Provincial Energy Agency supports the Provincial Government of Alicante in the management of energy actions in the Province of Alicante as is the case of the Energy Savings Plan.

Launched by the European Commission in October 2015, the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy commits the signatories to act to support the implementation of the European goal of reducing CO2 by 40% by 2030.
