- If the power consumed (maximeter) is much less than what is established in the contract you will be charged according to this agreed fixed rate tariff.
- If the power consumed (maximeter) is much higher than what is established in the contract you will be penalized for going over the power limit that you agreed to.
Therefore, to optimize the amount of power established in the contract with the electricity supplier you have to study the maximum consumption history (maximeter records) to calculate the real demand required throughout the yearto keep the fixed rate tariff down.
The maximum power tolerated by an electrical installation is the sum of the power required by all of the devices in operation, which are connected simultaneously. Controlling this maximum power consumption and reducing it means that a lower amount of power can be taken on with the electricity supplier, which therefore reduces the electricity bill.
